Is this for you?

Talking therapy can help if you recognise yourself in any of these:

  • Worry or anxiety that keeps circling and will not settle
  • Low mood that has gone on longer than you expected
  • Stress or burnout, at work or at home
  • A loss you have not had space to grieve
  • A big life transition: a move, a separation, a diagnosis, retirement, becoming a parent
  • A quiet sense that something is not right, even if you cannot name it yet

You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or a clear reason. Feeling that you would benefit from talking is reason enough.

What happens in a session

There is no script and nothing to prepare. You talk about whatever matters most that day, and I listen carefully, without judgement. Sometimes I will reflect back what I am hearing, ask a question that opens something up, or offer a practical tool if one would help. Because I work pluralistically, the way we work adapts to you, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT and transactional analysis approaches as appropriate.

Most people find a rhythm of weekly or fortnightly sessions works well, and we review together regularly so the work always stays useful.

Common questions

How many sessions will I need? There is no set number. Some people come for a short, focused piece of work; others stay longer. We review regularly and you remain in control.

What if I do not know what to talk about? That is common, and completely fine. Sessions can start anywhere, and part of my job is to help you find the thread.

Is what I say confidential? Yes, within a small number of legal exceptions, which I will explain clearly in your first session.

Can I switch between in-person and online? Yes, where scheduling allows. Many clients mix the two. Note that the fee differs: £60 in person, £50 online.
